  1. OK Thanks. I might send him an email.
  2. OK Thanks. Mine is clearly the older version and has obviously been re-capped at some stage. The only ME branded caps remaining are on what I would consider is the Low Signal Level board. I have included photo's. It clearly also has Alps pots as questioned by Ron in the earlier post. By the way, thank you for taking your time to assist.
  3. Thanks I'll take the cover off and have a squiz.
  4. Thanks guys. Ron suggested to upgrade the 470uF to 1000uF. Are you referring to the caps in the PS. I have included a photo - the ones in the PS are 2000uF.
  5. Hi Ponytail Thanks for your reply. I note the post script at the bottom of your response - are you from Winovate? I guess I was just testing to see whether these upgrades are still supported and at reasonable cost. I will repair of the power supply firstly and ensure everything is still functional. Then maybe attack the Pre-amp itself. It all still sounds great but failure of more caps may well be imminent. Thanks again.
  6. Hi I have a Watkins 12 inch dual voice coil base driver from an Infinity RS1.5 in which the voice coil is frozen solid in the magnet airgap. I'm guessing it has been fried! I'm wondering if anyone may know whether there are any repairers in Australia who may be able to repair it please. Thanks in advance. KT
  7. Greetings It seems that the Power Supply of my ME25 has expired. I have some AC on the power supply output so I'm guessing capacitors are shot. (I noticed a hum this afternoon from my Subwoofer and tracked it back to the pre-amp). The pre-amp is always left on as per Peter's advice. I have the option obviously of replacing the caps and putting it back into service. However, it is probably prudent to ask what it costs to do a power supply upgrade on it. Possibly could be interested in remote gain as well depending upon the cost. The Serial Number is 250002 F in case you need to know. Apart from this incident it has been operating flawlessly, driving my old ME100 and ME150 Power amps. I'm guessing Trevor (Zaph) will be the one who can best answer my questions. Thanks in advance KT
