  1. Noticed something a bit strange now. I go to "mcacc data check" - "speaker setting" and there I find Front: Large, Center: Large, Surr: Small, SB: No, SW: Yes. Are this the results from the calibration? When doing the calibration it didnt find any SW (naturally, Since I dont have one) But does this mean the receiver think I got one? Edit: Have now gone and manually put NO for the SW. Should center be set to small? That seems to have made one hell of a difference really. Really strange how the setting came out like that in the first place. But all good now
  2. I do like my bass, so I should probable buy a subwoofer soon. The sound is very clear and nice. But I do feel explosions/gunshots could be a bit louder. Watching enemy at the gates right now. What should I turn up and where? Bass doesnt appear as an option when going through the audio parameter on the remote. (which I believe the manual did say)
  3. Everything hooked up now, and so far I am very impressed Coming from an old receiver, this is indeed a big upgrade. Love handling all my components with one receiver Will Bi-amp in a couple of days. Big difference? Still reading through the manual, and there is a lot more to be tested. Not connected to the network yet, and have just run a quick calibration. Weren't there supposed to be several setting while calibrating? (moving the mic around) I will probably find out more as I read the manual, but it takes a bit extra time not being written in "my" language. I have one question tough. The calabration put my front speakers big. I believe I read I should put them to small? Why? I have no subwoofer yet, and maybe it was only then they should be put to small?
  4. http://www.audioholics.com/reviews/receivers/pioneer-sc-07 It was this test that got me worried. I qoute: "Driving 4-ohm loads was an entirely different story. The SC-07 simply fell apart when running full bandwidth (20Hz to 20kHz) continuous power measurements. As I tested at frequencies above 5kHz with only 1 channel driven, the internal cooling fan would instantly come on right before the receiver would go into gross distortion and shut down at levels above 100 watts. With two-channels driven, I was able to squeeze out a clean 150wpc at less than 0.5% THD. Anything higher would again run the amps into gross distortion and shut off the receiver. I was a bit perplexed in how the receiver managed to better cope with 2 channels driven over 1 and could only surmise that it had something to do with symmetrical load balancing on the power supply. How this receiver was awarded the THX Ultra2 rating was a bit perplexing to me. Although the SC-07 didn't fare well on the bench when tested with 4-ohm loads, it proved to hold up quite well on real world 4-ohm speaker systems driving musical content instead of continuous test tones and only gave up some of its composure as the volume levels were increased. As a result, I'd cautiously recommend using this receiver with highly efficient 4-ohm speakers." Still no need to worry? But sounds good that people run with 4 ohm without problems. Do you have to set something particular in the settings because of it? You guys happy with the receiver so far? I cant wait to get it. Seems a big upgrade, and it is really nice looking Do you use kuro link? (I got pioneer tv 5080 aswell)
  5. Just ordered the vsx lx71. The problem is I probably didn't do enough research. The thing is I got 4 ohm spekers, which I read wouldn't function too good? I have Dali 8008 speakers. Is there a need to worry?
