    Hey guys, I am in need of a cheapish HDSTB to go with Pana 86 PW300a , my system is worth 10 grand but i am a bit short on cash for now to buy a grouse one help would be appreciated. cheese

    Moving to Heidelberg does any one recomend any installers or types of antennas for that area . ( i live on the high side of Heidelberg)

    If you can pay for it up front offer JB hi fi $8400 for the pioneer 42" and i am sure they will bite. I was an inch away from buying one a week ago but have decided to fix the kitchen.(Obviously not my decision)

    this was definitely HD double checked with the rep that i saw at the show, queried JB and they said grab its below their cost price

    Just to note the pana86 was $2999 ticket price at clive peeters at the home show today , and they said there was still room for a better price.

    have you seen the new sony KEMX42S1 it looks quite good compared to the pioneeer 43" and the hitachi 42" it also has a 3 year warranty. Everyone at jb seem to push the hitachi I wonder whether there is more kickback on them. If i can get some advice what is the best way to choose a plasma at a store eg: via HD loop or SD tv or dvd and what faults should i look for in the above plasmas

    Looking at purchasing a new plasma 42", I have heard a lot about the pioneer and all are positive apart from the price. The sony is new to me, do you guys know what they are worth and whether it matches in quality with the pioneer. And if you know of any other quality plasma 42" can you please reply. cheers

    I f you push at leading retailers you can get the Sony KVHR36 for $4400 ie:JB, e&s, and sony central.

    Very tough call i think it is one of the better picture tubes panasonic has made in a while and for the price its great value, however if you have the bucks the sony looks great . I think I will wait to buy a tv for about six months see if there is more of a price drop and i will wait for the new loewes to come out. The only thing that sucks is that they both only give 12 month warranty.

    I have seen both tvs next to eachother at Megamart Chadstone and JB hi fi South yarra the cheapest price on the pana i have pushed is $3450 and the Sony at $4400 but i still didnt havent pushed that hard. You will always get a better deal on the pana as they give kick backs to their dealers where as sony dont unless they have deals in place with big buying retailers ( "jb")
