  1. LG 60"...love it.
  2. I have a 60PY2D. anyone know what the latest version is for that? I have:- CPU VER 3.18.0 and MICOM VER 03.00
  3. Here's a little question...and i don't know why i didn't notice sooner...I have a one month old LG 60" plasma and a 250gig LG DVR connected via HDMI. I notice that the picture seems zoomed when watching through the DVR compared to the inbuilt tuners. That is, that channel watermark is much closer to the corner and therefore part of the picture is missing when watching via hdmi...quite a significant part, in fact. I can't find a setup reason why. Anyone else got this or know a fix? Peter
  4. same for melbourne please?
  5. i'm very happy with it, actually. i watch it from 3m away. only downside is that if the transmission isn't very good, it certainly shows up....but if it's good, and it usually is if it's a movie or made in a studio, then it's quite stunning. took a fair bit of setting up...made a difference too. nothing wrong with the hitachi, and it's cheaper...but if money's no object, just get the LG. can't say the price...was wholesale...but got it from clive peters.
  6. surely DVI would be better though, wouldn't it? no analogue conversion but digital-digital?? is that the case?
  7. i thought it was impossible until i bought a harmony 520. it has individual buttons for each input. i was amazed. both my plasmas show quite a difference btwn HD and SD from the inbuilt tuner.....but neither is the same tv as this tread discusses but the older model 42" and a new 60". i'm surprised if there's a difference between models though, quite honestly.
  8. here's what i got from LG "-----------Reply to Customer Enquiry------------ Dear Peter Thank you for emailing LG Electronics Australia. You cannot manaully tune on digital, you are able to reset the unit by unplugging aerial and auto programme then plug in aerial and scan again but there is a chance that it will find the same channels again. Kind Regards Karine Wyatt Correspondence Officer LG Electronics Australia Pty Ltd ABN 98 064 531 264 2 Wonderland Drive Eastern Creek, NSW 2766 " they were 1/2 right....you CAN manually tune on digital.
  9. who does it in melbourne?
  10. hey...thanks a heap...that worked perfectly. you assumed right.
  11. thanks. does anyone actually know for sure?
  12. that's no good...i end up with two lots of everything from two transmitters...ridiculous i know...but auto tune picks up dandenongs and como. i CAN manually tune...so i can overcome that...BUT...i want to get rid of what's there now and there's no delete! am i wording this question badly?
  13. that's nice...but *I* want to delete digital channels and/or reset and start from scratch.
  14. you can't delete or rename digital. all you can do is skip and make a favourite. SURELY there's a way to reset and start again...but there's nothing in the instructions
  15. does anyone know the answer?
