Up for sale is my Gustard X30 purchased by me from a local dealer back in November 2025.
In excellent condition with no issues or scratches that I can see. Great sounding DAC that punches well above its price point but its size means its not as desk friendly as I would like!
Given its size and weight local pickup would be preferred but have the original packaging so can mail interstate at buyers expense

### Sound Quality
Reviewers consistently highlight the X30's smooth, detailed, and natural sound, free of ESS Sabre "glare" or brightness, even with demanding setups like silver cables or metal dome tweeters. Key strengths include:
- Exceptional bass: Deep, punchy, tight, and superior to predecessors like the R26.
- Midrange and highs: Refined, fluid, and fatigue-free, with perfect tonal balance on strings and piano.
- Soundstage and imaging: Wide, precise stereo image, outstanding separation, spatiality, and 3D dimensionality that rivals high-end DACs like Chord DAVE.
- Overall signature: Highly resolving, dynamic, transparent, and natural—blending delta-sigma and R2R strengths without flaws; users call it "99.9% sonic perfection" and "quintessential."
It outperforms Gustard R26 and A26 in refinement, detail, rhythm, and streaming, with minimal gains from external clocks due to its optimized internal clock.
### Build Quality
The X30 features robust engineering with dual 50W linear transformers (one digital, one analog), massive voltage regulators on heatsinks for lower temperatures, and discrete components in the analog stage—running cooler than the X26 PRO for potentially longer lifespan. Users rate it five stars, noting heavy, high-quality construction.
### Reliability
No widespread reliability complaints; lower operating temperatures and solid power supply design suggest good longevity, with positive long-term feedback after six months. Some power supply noise noted in pricier competitors, but not the X30.
### Strengths
- Smooth, engaging, non-fatiguing sound with full frequency balance and driver control.
- Versatile inputs/outputs and streaming capabilities.
- Excellent value and bang-for-buck.
- Pairs well with most components, revealing details without harshness.
### Weaknesses
- Remote control falls short of the unit's standard.
- Minor: Subtle improvements only with external clocks; not ideal with older Bowers & Wilkins speakers.
### Overall Reputation
The X30 enjoys a stellar reputation in audiophile communities as a refined, high-performing DAC that exceeds expectations, often preferred over pricier rivals for its effortless resolution and musicality—recommended wholeheartedly for serious listeners. Some ASR forum users await measurements, but subjective reviews dominate positively.
Australian sellers list the Gustard X30 at $4,599 AUD as the standard retail price, including official warranty and local support from authorized distributor Audiophile Shop. No used listings or user-reported prices appear in recent data, so used values cannot be reliably estimated but would typically range 15–30% lower ($3,200–$3,900 AUD) depending on condition, assuming standard high-end audio depreciation.
Key factors affecting value:
- Condition: New units command full retail; used prices drop with wear, missing accessories, or lack of warranty.
- Location and retailer: Australian pricing (~1.5x USD equivalent of $2,999 USD from US/International sites) reflects import duties, GST, and local distribution.
- Features and demand: Premium specs (4x ES9039SPRO chips, streamer, preamp) support steady value in audiophile markets, with no sales discounts noted locally.
- Currency fluctuations: AUD/USD rates influence imported pricing consistency.
Prices are stable as of available 2026 data, with no significant variations or shortages reported.
