Creek Audio Evolution Range Now Available

Creek Audio has been an integral part of the British Hi-Fi industry for the past 30 years, and creators of highly awarded products including Integrated Amplifiers, CD Players, FM Tuners, Digital Pre-amplifiers, stand alone DACs. As well as accessories such as Phono Pre-amplifiers, Headphone Amplifiers and Passive Pre-amplifiers.

With its latest range hitting our shores, the Evolution range 50A, 100A and 50CD is now available in Australia thanks to Australian distributors Audio Dynamics.

The Evolution 50A, Evolution 100A and Evolution 50CD are part of a new generation from the British maker, with a promise of an uncompromised design for connectivity with flawless flexibility.

Creek Audio Evolution 50A ($1999 RRP)

With an ingenious push button design, the new Creek Audio Evolution 50A amplifier is a slim and stylish unit that offers up a tactile feel and optimum user-friendliness. The 50A amplifier also features an OLED (Organic Light Emitting Diode) white on black display that provides higher clarity and resolution than a normal display, along with a wide range of customised graphic symbols.

At the heart of any good amplifier lies a good power supply; the Evolution 50A uses a massive 200 Watt toroidal mains transformer with separate windings for high and low current analogue and digital circuitry. This produces a good power to weight ratio and low magnetic interference. Featuring a pair of Sanken 15 Amp power transistors, with built-in thermal compensation for rapid bias tracking performance. The Power Amplifier circuit has very low output impedance and can produce high output current, this combination will provide exceptional speed and control with most loudspeakers. For vinyl fans, a Sequel 2 Phono pre-amp can be plugged-in, substituting Line Input 1 for Phono. In addition, Line input 5 is located on a Smart-Slot removable panel allowing you to fit a Tuner or DAC module.

With the Evolution 50A, you can also remain up to date thanks to Creek Audio’s hardware-upgrade capabilities through the use of software upgrades and differently purposed modules.

Creek Audio Evolution 100A ($3499 RRP)

The Creek Audio Evolution 100A amplifier maintains its familiar resemblance to the 50A, housed in a sexy black slim enclosure with an engraved front panel and solid metal control knobs and features an innovative new circuit design.

With increased power compared to the Evolution 50A, it uses a massive 360 Watt, low profile, toroidal mains transformer. The design improves filtering with the multiple windings for high and low voltages and current that also separates the power amp, pre-amp and digital circuitry. This helps to produce this amplifier’s powerful and accurate sound despite its friendly size. Creek Audio describe the Evolution 100A as “the most sophisticated and reasonably priced amplifier Creek Audio has ever made.”

In addition to greatly increased performance, the Evolution 100A has been equipped with two sets of high quality loudspeaker binding posts, with local and remote switching for A & B outputs.

Creek Audio Evolution 50CD ($2499 RRP)

The Evolution 50CD is a high-end DAC with built-in CD transport. The 50CD is the first Creek Audio digital product to feature two top-of-the-range Wolfson 24bit/192kHz DAC ICs, running in double differential mode to extract the maximum possible performance.

Proving the Creek Audio’s dedication to flexibility, the 50CD can handle a total of six digital sources (including CD) and has two digital outputs. In keeping with the matching integrated amplifier, the 50CD boasts both balanced and unbalanced analogue outputs.

The Evolution 50CD uses custom, low jitter clocks for top performance at all sample rates. With plethora of inputs and outputs the Evolution 50CD is one of the most well equipped and seriously high-end DAC products on the market and is made even more attractive with its competitive price.

The EVO system remote handset controls all the functions of the Evolution 50CD range, including the Amp, CD/DAC, Ambit Tuner and Ruby DAC. The USB circuit on the 50CD is modular to allow for future upgrades, as the technology is constantly evolving. It also has an optional IR extender to enable the products to be hidden away and still operable via remote control.

All three products of the Evolution 50CD range are housed in a slim case with an engraved front panel and solid control knobs, and are finished in either black or silver brushed aluminium.

Creek Audio is distributed in Australia by Audio Dynamics.
