The long-requested integration brings access to over 100 million official tracks, curated playlists, remixes, live performances, and fan favourites straight to compatible WiiM hardware — provided you have a YouTube Premium or YouTube Music Premium subscription.

The addition means WiiM users can tap into YouTube Music’s vast catalogue, including the live versions and rare remixes that help set the platform apart. All playback is handled through the WiiM Home app, maintaining full access to the brand’s hallmark features such as voice control, EQ adjustment, stereo pairing, WiiM remotes, and multi-room grouping.

Andrew McGregor, WiiM Australia Partner Manager, said the move was driven directly by user demand:

The addition of YouTube Music to the WiiM ecosystem caters to many of our users. Australians love YouTube Music, which accounts for around 20% of streaming services locally. It’s another testament to WiiM’s commitment to its community, with continuous integrations and updates driven by user feedback.

YouTube Music will be available on WiiM’s Pro, Pro Plus, Ultra streamers (excluding the WiiM Mini), and Amp, Amp Pro, and Amp Ultra integrated amplifiers. Custom installation units like the CI MOD S and CI MOD A80 are also supported, while WiiM Edition Audio Pro will receive updates later. WiiM says the Mini’s hardware limitations prevent YouTube Music support.

Getting started is straightforward: update the latest WiiM Home app and ensure your device firmware is current. The feature is rolling out progressively over the coming weeks, so if you don’t see YouTube Music yet, it should appear soon in your list of available streaming services. Once added, simply log in with your YouTube Premium or YouTube Music Premium credentials.

WiiM’s latest product range and new integrations, including YouTube Music, will be on demo at the Melbourne Hi-Fi & AV Show, Room 1203, Pullman Mercure, Albert Park, from August 29–31, 2025.
