Technics Marks 60 Years with Limited-Edition Champagne Gold AZ100 Earbuds

Technics is marking its 60th anniversary in style with a new Champagne Gold finish for its flagship EAH-AZ100 true wireless earbuds.
First released in January 2025 to wide acclaim, the EAH-AZ100 now joins the celebration with a luxurious colourway that complements the existing silver and black variants—offering listeners a stylish new way to enjoy Technics’ highest-performing in-ear design to date.

The EAH-AZ100 represents the culmination of Technics’ heritage in precision audio, drawing on six decades of innovation that began in 1965 with the groundbreaking Technics 1 speaker system. The AZ100 is the latest in the brand’s increasingly sophisticated series of wireless earbuds, building upon the AZ70 and AZ80 models with even greater refinement in both sound and functionality.
Central to the EAH-AZ100 is Technics’ custom-designed Magnetic Fluid Driver. This technology uses magnetic particles suspended in liquid between the driver’s magnet and voice coil to suppress vibration and distortion, producing detailed, rhythmic playback with exceptional resolution. Combined with an ultra-thin free-edge design and aluminium diaphragm, the result is extended bass and clear, natural highs that allow users to experience music as the artist intended.

The earbuds are also equipped with Adaptive Noise Cancelling that dynamically adjusts to the listener’s environment and ear shape, suppressing background noise across low to mid frequencies and vocal ranges. Meanwhile, Voice Focus AI technology ensures crystal-clear calls, using three microphones and onboard AI processing to filter out ambient distractions and enhance both incoming and outgoing speech.

For those seeking a cinematic experience, the EAH-AZ100 supports Dolby Atmos spatial audio and Dolby Head Tracking. This immersive tech tracks head movements to create a 360-degree listening field, whether streaming music, watching films or tuning into podcasts.

The earbuds also support multipoint connectivity with up to three devices simultaneously—ideal for users who frequently switch between a smartphone, tablet, and laptop. Other standout features include Qi wireless charging, up to 28 hours of total battery life (10 hours per charge), Bluetooth LE Audio and Auracast support, Google Fast Pair for Android, and access to the Technics Audio Connect app.
Designed for long-wear comfort, the earbuds feature a reduced size and weight, plus a new fifth ear tip option (ML) to help users find their perfect fit. Even the packaging has been updated for 2025: it’s now 100% plastic-free and more compact, in line with Panasonic’s sustainability commitments.

The 60th Anniversary Champagne Gold Technics EAH-AZ100 will be available from July 2025 at selected audio specialists and priced at US$299.99 / £259 / €299 / A$499.
