TEAC TN-3B BELT-DRIVE TURNTABLE

TEAC TN-3B Belt-Drive Turntable Released
Looking to capitalise with the consistent growth of the vinyl market, TEAC has announced the TEAC TN-3B, a stylish new belt-drive turntable that comes complete with a built-in MM Phono EQ amplifier and USB digital output.

Tonearm, Cartridge and Drive

Just like the direct-drive TN-4D turntable introduced in May, the TN-3B employs the new S-shaped tonearm. Featuring knife-edge, pivot-point bearings, co-developed with SAEC, the high-end tonearm manufacturer. The platter is a die-cast aluminium number. Altogether, we are promised "excellent sonic stability and impressive high-resolution audio."
Additionally, the new 2-speed deck comes fitted with an Audio-Technica AT-VM95E cartridge sporting an elliptical-shaped stylus.

By using a belt-drive mechanism, the TN3B helps mitigate any unwanted cogging effects from the operation of the motor, ensuring a precise and smooth platter rotation for accurate reproduction of the music.
Phono Amp and USB out
The TN-3B integrated Phono EQ amplifier uses a high-precision NJM8080 op-amp. Furthermore, the built-in Analogue-to-Digital converter and USB port enable you to digitise your vinyl library onto your PC and Mac for those moments where spinning an LP isn't an option.

All the internal components are mounted on a robust and high-density MDF plinth for rigidity and vibration-deadening. Finally, the TN-3B sits on insulating feet comprising a machined aluminium shell, topped with a rubber cushion. Thanks to their excellent shock absorption characteristics, the TN-3B is very resistant to acoustic feedback.
TEAC believes that the TN-3B delivers well-balanced sound quality and is supremely quick and easy to set up and start enjoying.
Price and availability
The TEAC TN-3B is priced at £399 and is available from September, in Cherry, Piano Black or White finishes.
