Soulines Brings ‘Affordable High-End’ to the UK with New tt9 Turntable

Serbian turntable specialist Soulines has arrived in the UK, bringing its blend of precision engineering, minimalist aesthetics, and accessible high-end performance.

Thanks to a new partnership with Sound Fowndations, British vinyl lovers can now access the tt9 turntable and KiVi M3 unipivot tonearm, along with the full Soulines range.

Sound Fowndations’ Chris Green told StereoNET:

UK customers are increasingly seeking smart design, high-quality engineering, and strong value, making Soulines a compelling addition to the market.

At the heart of the brand is founder Igor Gligorov, a mechanical engineer, musician, and sound engineer who approaches turntable design like a luthier crafting a musical instrument. Rather than treating individual components in isolation, Soulines aims for perfect synergy, ensuring every part interacts optimally. To achieve this, each platter, bearing, and spindle is individually machined rather than batch-produced, with all aluminium parts CNC-machined from solid blocks and every unit hand-finished and tested.

Vibration control is a priority, with materials and structures precisely calculated using the Fibonacci Sequence and Golden Ratio. The goal is to minimise unwanted resonance without compromising musicality and dynamics.

The tt9 turntable incorporates design principles from Soulines’ higher-end models, such as the Kubrick DCX, into a more compact and accessible package. Its lightweight yet rigid chassis is designed to eliminate resonance, while the inverted main bearing—machined from stainless steel, brass, and Delrin—promises smooth, noise-free operation. The 30mm-thick acrylic platter, weighing 2.5kg, includes a recessed label area, ensuring records lie perfectly flat, and a custom record clamp is included for added stability.

The DC motor drive system features electronic speed control, while a solid aluminium armboard and three-point coupled suspension system contribute to isolation and resonance control. Setup is designed to be straightforward and requires no special tools.

Alongside the tt9, the company is introducing the KiVi M3 uni-pivot tonearm, engineered to minimise resonance and maximise tracking accuracy. Unlike conventional uni-pivot designs, which can feel unstable, the KiVi M3 features a captive uni-pivot bearing, combining low friction with added rigidity. A one-piece bearing yoke and arm tube enhance structural integrity, while a versatile counterweight system accommodates a wide range of cartridges. Soulines claims the KiVi M3 remains sonically neutral, allowing cartridges to perform without added colour.

Beyond turntables and tonearms, Soulines offers vibration control accessories, including the BBS feet and U-Base isolation platform. The BBS feet use ball-bearing decoupling to isolate equipment from vibrations, while the U-Base platform, made from aluminium and stainless steel, provides further resonance control.

With its engineering-first approach and focus on musical integrity, Soulines offers a fresh take on high-end, high-value vinyl playback. While the tt9 and KiVi M3 look promising on paper, their true appeal will only be confirmed once UK listeners put them through their paces.
