Roksan Caspian G4 Amplifiers Launched

Roksan's new-look 4G Caspian range includes a feature-packed streaming amplifier.

Roksan's Caspian series gained many fans from the original and M2 generations, and now the line returns with a new range and a fresh look, as the Capsian Series 4G.

Roksan has introduced its 4G Series with the  Caspian Integrated Amplifier and the Caspian Streaming Amplifier. However, Roksan has already blown the cover of its Caspian 4G Power Amplifier, which is due to land in 2025.

Both the streaming and integrated amplifiers are rated at 105 Watts (into 8 ohms). The streaming Caspian G4 amp benefits from the BluOS platform, supporting high-res audio files up to 24-bit/192kHz from streaming services or networked libraries.

The new series continues Roksan's latest design language, which was introduced with the Attessa range. Its modern aesthetic features clean lines, chamfered edges, and custom extruded heatsinks.

Both models sport a high-resolution, high-contrast monochrome OLED display with customisable input options for assigning your various sources. The streaming variant gets added control buttons for play/pause/next track on its fascia.

Under the hood, the new Caspians employ Roksan's Euphoria Class AB  amplifier technology, which, we're told, "excels in power and finesse". It uses individual power supplies for the current and voltage amps to help produce a purer sound.

This is partnered with a new analogue pre-amplifier section designed to keep the signal as clean as possible, while a ground-switching input aims to reduce interference from other components in your system chain.

Digital inputs travel via Roksan's Rapture DAC technology, a differential current-conveyor topology. The company states this has several measurable advantages and extracts more information from the conversion process than traditional DAC designs.

In addition to the coaxial and optical digital inputs, you get HDMI eARC, a dedicated moving magnet phono stage, and balanced and unbalanced analogue inputs. Bluetooth streaming is also supported, while the streaming model adds Wi-Fi, all via a bespoke internal antenna design.

The new amps' volume control is a hybrid digital-analogue design featuring digital signal processing to facilitate tone controls and system matching.

Headphone sensitivity, analogue input gain, balance, and standby can all be adjusted using Roksan's own MaestroUnite app. This also enables you to access Roksan's intelligent DSP engine, which allows further fine-tuning through four Roksan technologies: Intelligent Tone, Intelligent Boundary, Intelligent Speaker, and Intelligent Phono.

The Caspian Streaming Amplifier 4G costs £4,000/ €4,500, while the  Caspian Integrated Amplifier 4G costs £3,000/ €3,500. Both are offered in silver or black finishes.
