REL Acoustics Brings S/510 Line Array to UK

REL Acoustics Presents S/510 Line Array in UK First at Bristol Hi-Fi Show 2020
Visitors to the Bristol Hi-Fi Show 2020 will get to experience what promises to be a unique presentation of both music and digital theatre formats featuring REL Acoustics' S/510 subwoofers (£1,799) in a line array formation.

The demonstration, REL hopes, will help you understand how a set-up such as this can transform your listening experience.
REL points out that, in the real world, bass occurs with width, depth and height and so, by vertically stacking three units per side (stereo or theatre main L-R speakers), the result is proper perspective and height of sonic events. In this case, KEF is providing a pair if its Reference 1 loudspeakers.
The 500 watt NextGen3 Class D amplifier powers a 10-inch active long-throw driver sat in a die-cast aluminium chassis which is further bolstered by a 12-inch passive radiator. That all adds up to a low-end extension down to 20Hz. REL also imbued the S/510 with the ability to be stacked in 4- or 6-unit line arrays, just like their reference models.
The line array of REL S/510s is a first for the UK, and we are told to expect "a floor to ceiling panoramic, full-scale perspective of each sonic event".
REL will also be offering some of their other subs at special show prices, at around £100 discount.
