Q Acoustics E60: Affordable, Easy-Install Audio

The Q Acoustics E60 in-wall audio system is made to bring high-quality sound to every room without hassle. It combines Bluetooth with a sleek, clutter-free design and aims to reduce installation time and effort.

The E60 is a new entry-level addition to Q Acoustics’ easy-install family, joining the E120 Bluetooth and DAB radio in-wall system and the E300A voice-controlled in-ceiling amplifier.

Borrowing design and features from the E120, the E60 is IP54 splash-proof, making it perfect for bathrooms, kitchens, garden summer houses, and other damp areas. It doesn’t need extra silicone sealant.

The screwless clip-in fixing system makes installation quick and leaves a neat, seamless look. The deep black and warm white finishes complement modern decor. Subtle LED lights give instant feedback but dim automatically in low light, so they don’t disturb the mood.

The E60 includes a built-in 2 x 25-watt @ 6Ω Class D amplifier that powers up to two pairs of in-ceiling or cabinet speakers. Q Acoustics says it’s tuned for its own in-ceiling, in-wall, and outdoor easy-install speakers but also works with third-party speakers for added flexibility.

The E60 also has a handy mono mode you can switch on easily. This plays both audio channels through both speakers, making it a cost-effective choice for bedrooms and bathrooms where even sound coverage matters more than stereo effects.

Wireless audio uses Bluetooth 5.0, letting you control volume, play/pause, and track skip from both your handheld device and the E60. This creates a smooth, easy user experience. For wired devices, an optical digital input (16-bit 48kHz) lets you connect a TV or other source.

You can expand the system using a fixed or variable analogue line output to connect a subwoofer or an extra amplifier easily. This helps installers customise the setup without added hassle.

Ease of use is key to the E60’s design. It features touch-sensitive controls from the E120 that deliver better performance and lasting reliability.
