PMC New Main Monitors for Music Makers

PMC unveils the “most significant re-invention” of its Main Monitor lineup at NAMM 2026

To mark PMC’s 35th anniversary, the Main Monitor range has been refreshed and engineered for exceptional clarity, dynamic performance, and artistic expression. The lineup includes four fully active three-way models: PMC10, PMC12, PMC15, and PMC10-4.

In line with the brand’s ‘studio to home’ philosophy, every aspect of the new models has been developed in-house to ensure complete control over all components.

The new designs feature PMC’s latest large-format bass drivers, optimised for the advanced ATL bass-loading system and LaminairX airflow technology. These drivers promise controlled, natural low-frequency reproduction, even at high output levels.

The midrange dome, also used in PMC’s domestic models, has been extensively redesigned to include the proprietary a-void absorber. This damped acoustic chamber prevents rear-wave reflections, reduces distortion, and improves transient accuracy for a more open, accurate midrange.

High frequencies are reproduced by PMC’s hand-built 34mm soft-dome HF driver. Its low-distortion motor assembly, matched dome, and shallow waveguide are designed for extended, fatigue-free listening and a natural in-room response.

Oliver Thomas, co-CEO, told StereoNET:

Launching an entirely new main monitor family in our anniversary year is both a celebration and a statement. By rethinking every part of the system and designing the entire platform in-house, we’ve been able to create the next generation of main monitors... For our audiophile customers, these new models will ensure the music they listen to was crafted in the studio with exceptional attention to detail, and the home-based listener can be assured of hearing exactly what the artists and engineers intended when using their PMC domestic speakers.

The Main Monitor Series uses the PMC-engineered system36 DSP and amplification platform. system36 integrates advanced 32-bit DSP crossover processing with 3600W of high-efficiency amplification.

The Main Monitor series functions as standalone full-range monitors or can be expanded with matching XBD cabinets, which add a dedicated low-frequency enclosure for increased bass headroom and scalability. For larger installations, the power20 provides a 2000W Class-D amplifier to drive bass units in XBD systems and selected low-frequency sections in the PMC10-4, PMC10-4 XBD, and PMC15 XBD.

Consistent dispersion and shared voicing across the range allow seamless integration of PMC monitor models in immersive environments, including Dolby Atmos Music rooms.

The PMC Main Monitor series is available now with the PMC10 priced at £31,500, the PMC 12 at £47,250, the PMC15, £68,000 and the PMC10-4 costs £100,000. All prices are per pair with the XBD bass units and amplification extra.
