Nordost QBASE Mark III Power Distribution Unit Announced

Nordost's QBase Mark III AC distribution unit series boasts the latest technological advancements.
Nordost states its QBase Mark III series is designed to help hi-fi enthusiasts take the performance of their system to the next level.

Harnessing "the latest technological advancements", Nordost says the cumulative effect on its latest iteration of AC power distribution units is all-encompassing.

We are told that QBase Mark III benefits from a newly designed, dual PC-board configuration with enhanced trace sizes, said to maximise current flow, featuring increased separation of all ground connections from the line and neutral traces. Additionally, interference/ crosstalk between live/ neutral and ground currents has been further minimised. Finally, Nordost adds that a revised resistance "sink" adds protection and effectively damps eddy currents.

The results, we're told, are enhanced 3D imaging of the soundstage and to improve the system's ability to pull out the tonal richness and sustained decay time in the music while imparting an apparent increase of power whilst maintaining a neutral and effortless delivery of the performance.

The primary model is the bespoke UK QB 6 Mark III (above) with six UK outlets that retail at £2,300 for C-15 (13 Amp) and £2,600 for C-19 (16 amp).
Also available to order are the QB 4 and QB 8 (four and eight outlets, respectively), with European Schuko connectors (POA).
