New Home Cinema Seating from Cogworks

Queensland-based home theatre and audio distributor, Cogworks, is launching a new range of home cinema seating. Seating is often the last thing to be considered in building a quality home theatre installation, but it's vital for the full experience.

Cogworks says that its new seating range, named "Cogworks Design" has a luxury feel, superb comfort and feature sets, plus ease of installation. Even the simple mode of turning the lights off in the cupholder has been considered.

Cogworks' new offerings are constituted by three styles, allowing a better fit for different home theatre requirements. They are named Studio, Dorne and Cruise.

The Studio style is designed for more compact spaces. It uses a "clever" armrest design to allow four seats side-by-side to occupy a width of less than three metres. The two-arm recliner seat includes a useful wireless phone charger.

The Dorne style is designed for superb comfort and includes the option of a chaise lounge seat with the arm to either left or right - for those, like me, unfamiliar with the word, I looked up' chaise'. It's a lounge seat with an extended front so that you can stretch out your legs.

Dolby Atmos systems – with their overhead (or virtual overhead) speakers – deliver challenging sound-fields for high-backed furniture. The Cruise style from Cogworks Design features a headrest designed to work well with such systems, while offering an attractive contemporary design.

All three styles feature a 100 percent leather finish and are available in both straight and curved layouts. The latter orientates the outer seats so that they are directed towards the screen. The standard colour is black, but other colours are available as a special order.

Cogworks Design-authorised dealers will be able to provide a "White Glove Home Delivery Service".

Prices start at $2,099 RRP per single seat and come in a variety of configurations across the ranges, depending on your application.

The Cogworks Design range of seating will be available from June 2020.
