MOON Bridges North Collection

The North Collection Bridges are now available to help build your system.

Questions about the MOON Bridges for the North Collection were initially sidestepped and then filed under "wait and see." Now, the much-anticipated accessories have gone official following their Munich show preview.

The North Collection Bridges are designed to complement the latest line of components as well as improve system performance, says the Canadian hi-fi firm.

The bridges enable you to stack two North Collection units per set of four, displaying the series' distinctive aesthetic whilst increasing stability and airflow between them to "maintain optimal operating conditions".

The chromed, triangular North Collection Bridges are manufactured at the MOON factory in Canada and consist of aluminium and PORON, the latter being a microcellular urethane foam that effectively absorbs and disperses unwanted energy to reduce mechanical vibration, so we are informed.

Elastomer pads further dampen vibration while protecting the luxurious finishes of the North Collection products - so you can now stack a 681 network player/ DAC with a 641 integrated amplifier or a 791 network player/ preamplifier with a 761 power amplifier. Why not go for broke and build a system featuring the flagship 891 network player/ preamplifier atop one or even two 761 power amplifiers?

MOON Chief Commercial Officer Etienne Gautier told StereoNET:

We gave the North Collection Bridges their first showcase at this year's High End Munich show and were delighted by the feedback from our visitors. The general consensus was that the bridges not only enhance system clarity but also showcase the North Collection at its finest.

MOON North Collection Bridges are sold as a set of four, priced at $540 USD / $650 CAD.

applause awards

Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.

Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.

The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.

We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
