As part of the Canadian high-end audio brand's 40th Anniversary, MOON is planning a series of special events and product launches to celebrate the occasion. The first to break cover is what the company describes as being "an iconic audio system."

StereoNET has been told that the "burgundy and rose gold" MOON Anniversary Edition features the well-received 680D streaming DAC and equally impressive 600i v2 integrated amplifier. As well as the unique contemporary look, MOON states that the discreet style cue recalls the company's 1980 genesis, as teased by the image below.

MOON 40th Anniversary System

The MOON Anniversary Edition will be a limited run of just forty systems, so we are expecting numbered units and perhaps special certificates. Beyond the trappings of such a special release, you can rest assured that any audiophiles who are lucky enough to claim a system will enjoy owning part of MOON's audio heritage.

We weren't able to elicit any further details from the tight-lipped Quebecois other than that more details of all the colour-matched components included in the MOON Anniversary Edition package will be revealed over the coming weeks via MOON's social media channels.

The MOON Anniversary Edition is planned to debut in public at The UK Hi-Fi Show Live, Ascot, on the 19th and 20th September 2020. Chances are, the system will be paired with some rather lovely Raidho Acoustic loudspeakers following yesterday's announcement.
