Mixx Analog Plus Brings Vinyl and CD Playback Together in One Player

As vinyl’s resurgence continues alongside the quiet persistence of the compact disc, manufacturers are increasingly looking for ways to rethink how physical media fits into modern listening spaces.

Mixx Audio’s new Analog Plus takes an unconventional approach, combining a turntable and CD player into a single compact unit designed for listeners who want to keep both formats in play without expanding their system footprint.
Mixx describes the Analog Plus as the world’s first concentric vinyl and CD player, with both formats sharing a central transport arranged on different levels within the same chassis. It’s an unusual layout that immediately sets the product apart from the growing sea of entry-level turntables and all-in-one systems. Rather than disguising its dual-format nature, the design leans into it, resulting in a look that’s equal parts retro and deliberately modern.

According to Mixx CEO Prash Vadgama, the brief was to create something genuinely different rather than another variation on a familiar formula. That ambition is reflected not only in the physical design but also in the product’s positioning. making it less about audiophile purism, more about everyday enjoyment of physical media.

From a practical standpoint, the appeal is straightforward. One unit replaces two, reducing clutter while retaining access to both record and CD collections. Analogue output is provided via standard RCA connections, allowing the Analog Plus to integrate easily with traditional hi-fi systems, powered speakers, or compact amplifiers.

Vinyl playback is handled by a pre-installed Audio-Technica AT3600L cartridge, a well-regarded and widely used design that sits a step above the generic options often found at this level, offering reliable, easy-going performance for everyday listening. The turntable supports both 7-inch and 12-inch records, with 33⅓ and 45rpm speeds accommodating albums and singles alike. The CD mechanism sits beneath the platter assembly, reinforcing the product’s space-conscious design while keeping operation simple.

Modern conveniences are clearly part of the brief. Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity allows wireless playback from smartphones and tablets, and a supplied remote control adds a layer of sofa-friendly usability. While this is not a product aimed at the upgrade-hungry enthusiast, it does acknowledge how people increasingly mix physical formats with wireless listening in the same system.

Priced at £299, the Mixx Analog Plus positions itself as an accessible, all-in-one solution for listeners with mixed-format libraries who want a tidy, low-fuss way to keep vinyl and CDs in regular rotation.
