Styled unmistakably like a stretched version of its classic Bluesbreaker amp, complete with knurled knobs and leatherette finish, the Heston 120 aims to bring both form and function to the living room.

This 5.1.2-channel soundbar supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X for immersive, three-dimensional sound, promising a cinematic experience with wide-reaching audio and powerful bass. Eleven Class D amplifiers power a total peak output of 150 watts, with the configuration including twin subwoofers, dual mid-woofers, tweeters, and full-range drivers.

The frequency response is listed from 40 Hz to 20 kHz, with a maximum SPL of 95 dB. In terms of connectivity, the Heston 120 offers Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 6, HDMI 2.1 eARC with 4K 120Hz passthrough (including Dolby Vision and HDCP 1.4 support), USB-C, Ethernet, RCA stereo and mono outputs, and support for a wide range of codecs, including FLAC, ALAC, and AAC.

Streaming support includes Apple AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Spotify Connect, TIDAL Connect, and internet radio via Airable. Marshall’s app allows for EQ customisation, room calibration (using the built-in microphones), and remote control. The soundbar also features four selectable modes: Movie, Music, Night, and Voice.
Controls include heritage-style tactile knobs for volume, bass/treble, source selection, and a sound mode toggle. There are also three preset buttons on the top panel. A matching wall mount is sold separately.
Physically, the soundbar measures 1100 x 145 x 76mm and weighs 7.04kg. The finish includes a woven salt-and-pepper fret inspired by Marshall’s legendary Bluesbreaker amp grilles, housed in a PU leather-clad enclosure with metal accents.
With its impressive spec sheet, the Heston 120 clearly sets its sights on the flagship crowd—going head-to-head with the Sonos Arc, Sony HT-A7000, and even knocking on the door of the likes of Sennheiser’s AMBEO Soundbar Plus.

We'll reserve final judgment until we've had a chance to experience it first-hand, but we look forward to seeing how it performs in real life. Priced at A$1799 / £899.99 / US$999.99, Marshall Heston 120 is available for pre-order now, with shipping expected from June 3, 2025.
