Marantz follows last year's MODEL 50 with the inevitable MODEL 60n streaming integrated amplifier and offers something more affordable than its all-new 10 Series separates.
The MODEL 60n network streaming amplifier boasts exceptional flexibility and cutting-edge technology and features 60W per channel (8-ohm) of high-current Class A/B power. Naturally, this is partnered with the latest iteration of Marantz's acclaimed HDAM (Hyper Dynamic Amplifier Module) technology. This should translate to exceptionally low distortion, effortless power and, more importantly, musicality.
Alongside three RCA analogue inputs, the MODEL 60n offers a "high-quality" moving magnet phono stage for all you vinylistas.
For digital music sources such as CD or games consoles, the MODEL 60n relies on its built-in ESS Sabre DAC plus multiple digital inputs, including optical, coaxial, USB-A.
Blockbusters and boxsets are also catered for, thanks to the HDMI eARC connectivity and subwoofer output.
Of course, HEOS provision means high-quality network music streaming via Wi-Fi or Ethernet and seamlessly joining a whole-home HEOS multiroom system in tandem with other HEOS-enabled products.
Music from mobile devices can be sent via Bluetooth with the 60n fully compatible with Spotify Connect and AirPlay2.
Roon Ready certification, coupled to the ability to access high-resolution music files at up to 24/192kHz or DSD5.6MHz, means that hi-res audio is firmly on the menu. Meanwhile, an over-the-air update due shortly will elevate that support to 32/384kHz and DSD11.2MHz.
