Majority Mini Shelford Shrinks Retro Radio to Portable Proportions

Majority has unveiled the Mini Shelford, a new portable Bluetooth DAB+/FM radio that takes the retro styling of the brand’s popular Little Shelford and squeezes it into a more compact, go-anywhere form.

Measuring just 13cm across, the Mini Shelford is designed to sit comfortably on a desk, bedside table, kitchen shelf or garden table. A built-in rechargeable battery means it is not tied to a wall socket, making it as useful for working from home as it is for weekends away.

The feature set covers DAB+ and FM radio, Bluetooth with SBC support and a full-colour display. That Bluetooth connection opens the door to podcasts, audiobooks and streaming services, while a headphone socket should keep late-night listening neighbour-friendly.

A dual alarm, sleep timer and intuitive rotary-dial control layout round out the Mini Shelford’s clean, minimalist design.

Majority will offer the radio in Dusty Rose, Olive, Black and Cream finishes.

The Majority Mini Shelford will be available from August, priced at £49.95.
