Krix Sets New Benchmark in Infrasonic Subwoofer Performance

First seen at the StereoNET Hi-Fi & AV Show in Melbourne last year, the UCX-218, the most powerful subwoofer from South Australia's Krix, has now been unleashed for all to enjoy.
Infrasonic bass redefines how sound is felt, and Krix's UCX-218 most certainly makes its presence felt and heard! For those demanding nothing but the best, the UCX-218, as its model number suggests, has two 18-inch high excursion drivers at its heart.

Configured in a dual-opposing layout to eliminate mechanical vibration and deliver clean, uncoloured bass, the UCX-218 has been engineered to reproduce infra-bass frequencies down to a staggering 10Hz!

Gary Krix, Managing Director at Krix told StereoNET:
The UCX-218 is more than just a subwoofer. It's a statement of our commitment to deliver precision engineering and exceptional sound experiences for home theatres and cinemas alike.
Made in Australia and backed by over fifty years of loudspeaker design and expertise, the Krix UCX-218 is also versatile in terms of placement. It can be placed vertically or horizontally to suit single—or multi-subwoofer layouts.

The UCX-218 is not for the faint-hearted. Weighing in at 91kg in total, it ships in three parts, and boasts a durable sealed cabinet with a stylish textured black finish, making it functional and visually appealing.

With a frequency range of 10Hz to 200Hz, this subwoofer doesn't just reproduce sound; it redefines it. Krix invites home theatre enthusiasts, cinema designers, audio professionals, and movie lovers to experience the cutting-edge capabilities of the UCX-218.
The Krix UCX-218 will also be on demonstration at the Mumbai Smart Home Expo in the coming days.

Available now from authorised Krix dealers, the UCX-218 will sell for A$13,495 RRP in Australia. Availability and pricing for other regions will be confirmed shortly.
