Harman Kardon's Radiance 2400 system comprises two ultra-slim, ultra-sleek floor-standing speakers and a compact subwoofer, all connected via a discreet digital hub.

The Radiance 2400 also gets bragging rights to being the first to sport Harman's patented Constant Beamwidth tech. Initially designed for the pro audio arena, it is based on beam-forming tuning and promises to deliver the same sound experience to every listener in the room regardless of where they are. Bye-bye, sweetspot!

Although 1.8m tall, each of the Radiance 2400 towers is a mere 5cm wide and just 6cm deep but fitted with twenty-four "precisely calibrated" 1.25-inch transducers to help deliver a wide breadth of sound.

Beneath the speaker array, the stand tapers like the stem of a champagne flute. In the base, you'll find the wireless components and digital amplifiers featuring Harman's Digital Loop Amplifier technology that is said to correct the distortion that naturally occurs in digital amplification.

The lower frequencies are brought by a separate subwoofer that employs a 10-inch cone driven by a 200W amplifier.

Last and perhaps most important as, without it, the rest of this system would simply be ornamental; the Harman Kardon Radiance digital hub. This critical part of the puzzle enables physical connectivity to a TV, games console or Blu-ray player, plus wireless streaming and multi-room pairing through Chromecast and AirPlay. While those streaming platforms encourage playback control through native apps that support them, alternative means of control is via the hub's LCD touch screen or included Bluetooth-connected remote.

Recognising the incredible technical innovation on display in the Harman Kardon Radiance 2400, the system was awarded a Best of Innovation award at CES 2021 in the High-Performance Home Audio or Video category.

The Harman Kardon Radiance system will be available from October, priced £4,000.
