They won’t fail to spot that it’s fitted with the latest WBT-nextgen binding posts along with a new-look tweeter with a silver hex grill.

In Munich, Harbeth staff told us M30.2’s crossover has British-made audio grade poly capacitors and the speaker is wired with Harbeth’s 40th anniversary ultra-pure OFC cable.

Harbeth’s birthday bash includes a version of the acclaimed M40.2 loudspeaker finished in an eye-arresting and very slinky limited edition. The brand’s SHL5plus model is available in the same finish.

To highlight these models’ sophistication, Harbeth has equipped each with a 40th Anniversary limited edition badges for the front and rear of the cabinets plus a new magnetic anniversary grill badge.

The Anniversary products have custom Harbeth internal cabling, 40th Anniversary carton labels and they will be shipped in Harbeth branded cotton bags while the SHL5plus model gets custom bi-wire links.

A matching walnut stand from Hi-Fi Racks Ltd completes this part of the Harbeth birthday celebration with more undoubtedly to come.

Acknowledging the importance of this year, Alan Shaw, Harbeth’s designer and Managing director says the time was right to update the 30.1 model.

We’re passionate about designing products that not only ensure you enjoy music to full effect but also feel very special, hence the exceptional silver eucalyptus veneer and features chosen for this next phase of our 40th Anniversary.

What better place to launch this than at one of the biggest hi-fi shows of the year.
