The move marks a more structured approach to the Danish manufacturer’s presence in Asia, with Singapore positioned as a key gateway market. Rather than a conventional distributor appointment, Gryphon Singapore appears designed as a dedicated platform to support regional growth while maintaining tighter control over how its systems are specified, demonstrated, and installed.

That emphasis on control is consistent with Gryphon’s broader philosophy. Since its founding in 1985, the company has built its reputation on fully in-house design and manufacturing, with a focus on fully balanced circuits, dual-mono architectures, and high-current amplification. The new Singapore operation is intended to extend that same level of precision beyond the product itself and into how systems are presented and deployed.

Rune Skov, Gryphon’s Sales Director commented on the development:

Singapore plays an important role as a gateway market in Southeast Asia. With Gryphon Singapore, we are laying the groundwork for sustainable regional development while ensuring that our products are presented and supported with the expertise they require.

The Clarity Group, a Singapore-based premium integrator, will take on responsibility for brand representation, client engagement, and system implementation. The company’s experience in high-performance residential audio and custom integration appears to align closely with Gryphon’s insistence on correct matching and installation precision.

Soon Ong, CEO of The Clarity Group, framed the partnership in similar terms, describing Gryphon’s products as “complete performance statements” that require careful specification and configuration to deliver as intended.

Initial activities under Gryphon Singapore are expected to focus on curated listening sessions and targeted client engagement, with systems demonstrated in controlled environments designed to meet the brand’s acoustic and technical standards.

More broadly, the move signals a shift in how ultra-high-end brands are approaching emerging markets. Rather than relying on traditional retail channels, there is a growing emphasis on tightly managed, experience-led environments — particularly in regions where private clients and custom-installed systems are driving demand.

For Gryphon, the Singapore launch looks less like a short-term expansion and more like a long-term positioning play and one that could serve as a foundation for wider growth across Southeast Asia.
