The update brings the same real wood veneer option already available on larger models such as the A28 W, A48 W and C20 W to the smaller C5 platform, a move the company says is driven by increased demand for more premium, material-led finishes.
The C5 MkII W itself isn’t new. It sits among Audio Pro’s long-standing compact wireless speakers, designed for smaller spaces while still delivering full-range sound from a relatively modest footprint. What’s changed here is how it’s being positioned, less as a purely functional streaming speaker, and more as a design object within the home.

Audio Pro CEO Nils Ankarcrona says the shift reflects changing consumer behaviour:
The walnut finish is something we launched in 2025, thinking it would be suitable for a limited range of products. However, we’ve experienced substantial demand in the market for this colour version and have decided to increase the range of speakers we offer in this walnut veneer.

He added that the appeal lies in both material quality and longevity:
The premium look and feel of the genuine veneer material appeals to our customers’ demand for quality products in a market that is shifting away from fast consumption trends with cheap and low-quality products, towards a more sustainable consumer behaviour.
The new option fits well with Audio Pro’s Scandinavian design approach, the idea being that the finish offers a unique natural grain and variation of wood, rather than the more uniform look of painted or wrapped finishes.

Alongside the walnut look, the C5 MkII W forms part of Audio Pro’s newer W-generation platform, which introduces an updated app experience powered by Linkplay. The revised software brings a refreshed interface along with features such as EQ adjustment and improved multi-room synchronisation over Wi-Fi.

Pricing is set at €325 | US$325 | £270 with availability expected through Audio Pro’s usual distribution channels.
