In what it labels a "distribution partnership", Melbourne-based Westan will "take the reigns" of the represented brands, which it says will "significantly enhance the accessibility of its renowned products across Australia's HiFi and Custom Integration sector". The existing subsidiary, 'PAC Australia' will continue to distribute directly through multi-site retail partners such as Harvey Norman and Costco. It is understood the new distribution partnership is effective from December 1st, 2023.
Peter Shamoon, Director of Sales at Premium Audio Company, told StereoNET:
We are thrilled to join forces with Westan, a partner that shares our unwavering commitment to audio excellence and commitment in supporting the HiFi and Custom dealer partners. Our goal is to elevate the audio experience in Australia, ensuring that individuals and businesses have access to exceptional audio solutions. With Westan's outstanding distribution capabilities and market knowledge, we believe this partnership will be transformative.

Kam Aghtan, Managing Director of Westan, added:
Collaborating with Premium Audio Company is an exciting opportunity for Westan. We're proud to partner with a company that sets the industry standard for premium audio solutions. Together, we aim to expand the presence of PAC's products throughout Australia and deliver extraordinary audio experiences.
Westan has recently enjoyed staggering growth in the audio specialist market. In September 2023, it announced that it had also been appointed as the exclusive distributor of the Naim and Focal brands in Australia and New Zealand. It is understood that some key personnel appointments have been made from within the industry to support the growing Westan portfolio.

Established in 1989, Westan represents brands and manages logistics. It also has strong product and technical training foundations, working closely with its specialist retailers. The company adds, “The sales teams are supported by a technical support department, spread across Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Auckland”.
Westan says, "It promises to redefine the audio landscape in Australia, offering a diverse range of solutions to customers across the specialty market, custom installation and the commercial sector".
