Denon's DHT-S416 (£299) is the brand's first soundbar packing Google Chromecast which means you can stream over Wi-Fi from the likes of Google Play Music, YouTube Music, Amazon Music HD, Spotify, Tidal, Deezer, Qobuz, and more. Additionally, Chromecast hands you Voice control via a Google Assistant device.

The Denon DHT-S416 stands a mere 5.6cm tall and yet still houses a pair of 1.25- x 4.4-inch full-range oval drivers and a couple of 1-inch tweeters.
Bringing the bass is a separate wireless subwoofer loaded with a 5.25-inch driver in a ported enclosure which helps with the set-ups Dolby Digital Decoding and enables it to playback discrete multi-channel Dolby surround sound information.

The wall-mountable Denon DHT-S416 is compatible with all HD and 4K TVs, and its HDMI ARC support means that you can control the soundbar with the TV remote. If your telly doesn't offer HDMI ARC, the DHT-S416 sports an optical input and also can be wirelessly paired via Bluetooth to stream music, podcasts and other audio content.

A trio of EQ presets – Movie, Music, and Night – tailor your listening needs, along with three Denon Dialogue Enhancer modes for your ideal level of vocal clarity. Furthermore, the DHT-S416 features a Pure mode which eliminates surround processing by removing any adjusted audio characteristics for sound in its purest state, says the company.
The DHT-S416 (£299/€329) will be available from the end of September.
