Convoy invested heavily in the distribution and marketing of the Music Hall turntable brand, largely unknown at the time, just five years ago. Over that time, Convoy says it has "significantly grown the presence of the brand", having successfully built a national specialist dealer network. However, according to the company, stock availability has become an increasing problem.

David Matthews, Managing Director of Convoy International, told StereoNET:

Ongoing inconsistencies in stock availability, along with fluctuating pricing are the key reasons that have led us to make this decision. Whilst we wish Music Hall all the best for the future, we must continue to streamline and improve our business to support our Retail Partners, with some exciting new projects in the pipeline for 2021 and beyond.

Music Hall turntables are the creation of US-based industry veteran Roy Hall, who works with the Audio Tuning manufacturer in the small Czech town of Litovel, the same factory that produces E.A.T and Pro-Ject turntables.

Convoy extended its thanks to its partners and customers for their support over the past five years. Convoy has also said it will continue to honour all service and warranty related issues for authorised products sold during this time.
