Campfire Audio Clara IEMs Designed With Nine Inch Nails Multi-instrumentalist

Campfire Audio's Clara is offered as "a cutting-edge IEM" developed in collaboration with Nine Inch Nails' Alessandro Cortini.
Combining Campfire's precision engineering with Alessandro Cortini's profound passion for sound, Clara promises to "redefine audio excellence for music lovers and professionals."

Cortini, a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductee and notably the first Italian to do so, has long been a fan of Campfire Audio's products and has established a deep connection with the brand through his musical journey. No stranger to collaborations, having also worked with the likes of Ladytron and stepping in to cover for Morgan Nicholls on a Muse tour, this latest one represents a "union of art, science, and craftsmanship — a pursuit of sonic perfection mirroring his own creative philosophy" so says the press release.

Working alongside Campfire's founder and lead acoustic engineer, Ken Ball, the two have crafted an IEM that brings Cortini's vision to life while remaining true to Campfire's legacy of innovation.

Clara features a hybrid driver configuration that fuses state-of-the-art drivers with traditional audio technologies, resulting in a "smooth, meditative, and remarkably engaging" sound profile.
At the heart of its sonic performance lies the latest iteration of Campfire's dual-magnet dynamic driver, complemented by the advanced dual-diaphragm balanced armature driver for mids. The highs are exquisitely rendered using Campfire's signature dual super-tweeters, paired with the brand's proprietary Tuned Acoustic Expansion Chamber (TAEC) technology for optimal soundstage and imaging.

Campfire Audio's Clara has a quoted 5Hz - 20kHz frequency response, SPL 94db @ 1kHz: 9.95 mVrms, and less than 0.3% total harmonic distortion. Meanwhile, the impedance is rated as 13.30 Ohms @ 1 kHz.

Alessandro Cortini told StereoNET:
Making music is equally creating and listening: the idea of sound choices informing the next compositional move, thanks to how you perceive them. Clara is not only the tangible result of my preference in tuning and spatial portrayal but also a reflection of the deep bond between Ken and I, musical and philosophical, that led to it.

Clara comes with a range of premium accessories, including Time Stream Duet cables (3.5mm & 4.4mm), Pilot Portable DAC Dongle, assorted eartips (Foam, Silicone, Final Type-E) and a variety of carrying cases and pouches including a hardshell touring case.
Available now, the Campfire Audio Clara retails at £1,999/ US$1,999/ €2,299.
