Majority, based in Cambridge, UK, has announced its Move range of portable Bluetooth loudspeakers that boast Bluetooth 6.0, USB-C, and a Micro SD card slot for on-the-move sound. Moreover, they undercut the current favourites, such as JBL's models, on price.

The Majority Move range consists of four Bluetooth speakers, ranging from the palm-sized M1 to the larger M4, which takes on a much more familiar cylindrical shape, not unlike the Leowe We. HEAR pro.
The whole Move range is equipped with the latest Bluetooth 6.0 tech; oddly, only the standard SBC codec is supported. While this means no high-resolution audio playback support, given the prices and probable use cases such as campsite, poolside, BBQ, and picnic tunes, this probably isn't a deal breaker.
However, the M2, M3, and M4 feature LED lighting. So there’s that.

The Move range features a stereo pairing mode that lets you pair two of the same speakers, such as a brace of M2s, to create a stereo listening experience.
The palm-sized (101 x 100 x 44mm) Move M1 aims to deliver “clear, balanced sound in a discreet footprint” with 12W of power output, and features hands-free calling, up to 70 hours of playback, and fast charging via USB-C.

The handy strap lets you hook it to a bag or backpack, and its IPX5 waterproof rating means it’s resistant to rain, sweat, and splashes.

Next in the range is the Move M2, which offers a “fuller, confident sound”, according to Majority, whilst remaining compact at 186 x 85 x 85mm.

Here you get up to 30 hours of battery life, 30W of claimed output, and an IPX7 rating, meaning it can withstand immersion in water up to 1m for up to 30 minutes.

In addition to wireless playback via Bluetooth, you can also use a wired connection from a laptop or smartphone via the M2’s USB-C and 3.5mm auxiliary inputs. In an interesting move, Majority has added a Micro SD card slot, so you can store digital music files directly on the speaker and save your phone's battery.
The next two larger modes, the M3 and M4, also feature USB-C and auxiliary wired inputs, Micro SD card playback, 30 hours of battery life, and an IPX7 rating.

Majority says the M3 boasts 40W of output power and is “capable of filling rooms and outdoor spaces with dynamic, engaging sound.”

Meanwhile, Move M4 has a claimed 70W, which Majority says is “ideal for larger spaces” and offers “bigger volume and deeper bass” when compared to its stablemates.

All four Majority Move portable Bluetooth speakers are available to buy in the UK now, with the Move M1 priced at £30, the M2 at £50, the M3 at £80, and the M4 at £120.
