The Wales-based subwoofer specialist will demonstrate a Carbon Special line array in a carefully assembled reference system, along with its new Serie S subwoofers.

REL has worked with top hi-fi brands to build a system that shows how subwoofers can support full-range speakers without overpowering the sound. The goal is to highlight scale, control, and low-frequency integration instead of just impact.
Subwoofers aren’t just for movies. As REL Acoustics Chief Designer John Hunter says in the video above, “Music feels different when you have a properly tuned subwoofer. It actually moves, physically moves more energy, even at a lower volume in the room.“
Joining the REL Carbon Special line array and new Serie S flagship is amplification by Hegel’s H30 power amplifier and P30 preamplifier, both making their first appearance at the Bristol Hi-Fi Show.

DALI will provide its Epikore 11 floorstanding speakers, and digital sources will include the Innuos Zenith Next-Gen streamer and an Esoteric CD transport.
Chord Company will supply all the cabling, and Puritan will provide power conditioning, including mains cables. A Montaudio Manuka rack will support the equipment.

The REL team will be available throughout the show to discuss the system, answer questions, and show how high-performance subwoofers can fit into systems of any size, whether you want subtle reinforcement or full-scale performance. Visitors to Bristol can expect a system built from some of the best hi-fi available today, with a strong focus on musical coherence, scale, and control.

REL Acoustics demonstrations will be held in the Empire 2 Suite on the Ground Floor of the Bristol Hi-Fi Show 2026.
