AVM INSPIRATION CS 2.2 4T CD STREAMER TO DEBUT AT FESTIVAL OF SOUND

The upgraded AVM Audio CS 2.2 4T compact streaming CD receiver will debut at the Festival of Sound, London.
Based on the fan favourite CS 2.2, the special edition 4T Titanium finish is only the start of the enhancements. Firstly, CS 2.2 4T now features a state-of-the-art Bluetooth 4.2 connection as well as upgrades to the digital section. Listed on AVM's website, the new compact component gets the latest Wolfson Digital to Analogue converter. Connectivity comes by way of coaxial, optical and USB sockets, and the new Bluetooth facility.
The CS 2.2 4T also features three analogue RCA inputs and a built-in phono stage. You can now switch between MM and MC via the display. Furthermore, thanks to the new extremely compact circuit design, the phono stage signal paths are now even shorter.

Other functions include an FM RDS tuner and internet radio. Qobuz and Tidal streaming services are built in, with a choice of using iOS and Android apps or the RC 9 remote. Internet connectivity can be wired or wireless. Power is rated at 2 x 165 watts into 4 ohms. There is also a headphone socket on the front panel.

The Inspiration CS 2.2 4T measures just 350 x 240 x 95mm and tips the scales at 9kg. The new compact streaming CD player is £4995.
Ian Sutton, PMC UK divisional director, told StereoNET:
The original CS 2.2 has been one of the real highlights of the AVM product range, with glowing user comments. Now, with the addition of the upgraded features and improved circuits, the 4T special edition takes the performance and consumer benefits to another level. We’re sure we’ll have another AVM hit on our hands with this new product.
We will, of course, be at the Festival of Sound where you can experience the CS 2.2 4T in the Mouton Cadet Suite. The "UK's largest luxury audio and lifestyle show" runs 28-30 September 2018 at Novotel London West, Hammersmith, London.
