Audio Boutique Appreciates the Finer Things

Audio Boutique, located on Sydney's Northern Beaches hosted an appreciation night for fine wine and audio last week, with customers and StereoNET readers invited along.
The evening promoted the appreciation and understanding, both for fine wine and music, and experts in both fields were on hand to answer questions.
With a full house of attendees, Audio Boutique's first appreciation evening was a great success. "Making the most of our limited space and with some carefully placed acoustic panels we were able to create a great listening environment. We had the space, the wine and the music to kick off what we hope will become a regular event." Mick Stillone, owner of Audio Boutique told StereoNET.

Wine was supplied by local bottle shop, “The Little Bottler”, selecting El Nino Wines for the occasion with a range of red and white wines representing great value for money from the Mornington Peninsular. Accompanying the wines was a nice selection of Antipasto to keep the hunger rumbles at bay so as not to interrupt the music.
Vinyl and CD demonstrations took place along with the opportunity for people to try their own music, along with Stillone also demonstrating how effective media streaming is with various levels of compression.

The feature system of the evening comprised the following:
- Focal Viva Utopia Stand Mount Speakers on Viva Stands
- Krell Evolution 525 CD Player
- Musical Fidelity M8Pre Pre Amplifier
- Musical Fidelity M8-700M 700w Power Amplifiers
- Thorens 295 MK IV with Ortofon Rondo Bronz MC
- Musical Fidelity M1 Vinyl Phone MC
- Musical Fidelity M6 DAC
- Chord Hugo DAC/Headphone Amp
- Tchernov Cables

Stillone continued, "what makes these events work are the people who attend, and the great music they bring along, the stories and banter amongst strangers who become connected by a common interest, music, and music filled our store while the wine flowed – CD’s Digital files and Vinyl all received an opportunity to entertain us. We hope that all who came along enjoyed themselves as much as we did, we had some great feed back throughout the night complimenting our equipment and setup which was appreciated."
Rumour has it Audio Boutique is already organising the next StereoNET evening, to be held later in the year. Stay tuned.
Audio Boutique is located at Shop 5, 18 Bungan Street, Mona Vale. NSW.
