Following its award-winning Mobius headphones, Audeze has gone official with its new open-back LCD-GX that promises to deliver “unprecedented sound quality with clear voice chat for the serious audiophile gamer.”

Combining Audeze’s magnesium construction with patented Fluxor magnets and ultra-thin Uniforce diaphragms the GX’s advanced LCD planar magnetic drivers are 2-4 times the size found in other gaming headphones.
The Audeze LCD-GX is handcrafted in Audeze’s California factory and features magnesium housings, memory foam ear pads, and a weight-reducing suspension headband design for long-lasting comfort during marathon gaming sessions.

The detachable microphone cable includes a mute button and a flexible gooseneck arm. The neat thing is that not only can you customise the mic positioning to ensure you have the optimal angle when communicating with online teammates but, thanks to the bundled standard LCD series headphone cable, you can remove the mic and enjoy the LCD-GX with your hi-fi system.

You also get a foam pop filter to reduce unwanted noise even more and improve voice clarity.
The Audeze LCD-GX will begin shipping in July 2019 and retail for £899/$899 on Amazon and from the official Audeze website.
