ARCAM Returns to Loudspeakers with Radia Series Range

ARCAM is expanding its Radia portfolio with the introduction of a new range of loudspeakers, marking a broader push into complete system design.
The new range comprises two bookshelf models, a centre channel, a powered subwoofer, and two floorstanding loudspeakers, forming a complete line-up intended to serve both stereo and multichannel systems. The speakers are making their global debut at ISE 2026 in Barcelona.

The loudspeaker launch follows closely on the heels of ARCAM’s recent unveiling of its first Radia Series home cinema electronics, including new AV amplifiers, a 16-channel processor, and matching power amplifiers. Taken together, the two releases underline ARCAM’s intent to position Radia as a fully integrated platform for both stereo and immersive multichannel systems, rather than a collection of standalone components.

While ARCAM has focused primarily on electronics across its 50-year history, loudspeakers are not unfamiliar territory for the Cambridge-based brand. In the mid-1980s, it introduced the ARCAM Two bookshelf speaker and, more recently, developed the Muso loudspeakers. With the Radia Series, ARCAM is positioning its return to speakers as a natural extension of its electronics-led philosophy, now supported by HARMAN’s measurement, testing, and acoustic research facilities.
Visually, the Radia loudspeakers adopt the same design language seen across the electronics range, with premium Black Walnut wood veneer cabinets and subtle yellow detailing. Magnetically attached grilles maintain a clean front profile, while optional solid aluminium stands are available for the bookshelf models. ARCAM says the speakers are designed to integrate easily into living spaces, whether paired with Radia electronics or other high-quality hi-fi and home cinema systems.

A key differentiator within the Radia ecosystem is system matching. While the speakers are designed to work with electronics from any brand, ARCAM notes that additional optimisation is available when they are paired with its own Radia amplifiers. Used with the SA35 or SA45 streaming amplifiers, the speakers can be fine-tuned with ARCAM’s anechoic EQ (AEQ), which automatically adjusts the amplifier’s output to maximise accuracy for each specific model. This capability is also set to carry across to the upcoming Radia Series AV products, extending the same optimisation approach to multichannel systems.
From an engineering standpoint, the Radia loudspeakers share a common platform. Cabinets are rigidly cross-braced to improve control and reduce unwanted resonance, while all five passive models employ a 25 mm aluminium dome tweeter made from ARCAM’s Deep Ceramic Composite material. The tweeter is mounted in an Acoustic Lens waveguide, designed to improve dispersion and phase alignment for more even sound across the listening area and stable stereo imaging.

Low- and mid-frequency duties are handled by Micro Ceramic Composite cone woofers, selected for their stiffness-to-weight balance. The R15, R35, and R35C models use 130 mm drivers, while the larger R25 and R45 models employ 165 mm drivers. Dedicated midrange drivers are also used in the three-way floorstanders, with the R35 featuring a 130 mm DCC midrange driver and the flagship R45 stepping up to a 165 mm version. Bass extension is handled by the R25B subwoofer, which combines a 250 mm fibre-composite cone with a 750-watt digital amplifier for controlled low-frequency performance in both music and cinema applications.
Within the range, the R15 and R25 bookshelf speakers feature two-way designs for compact systems, while the R35C centre channel is engineered for dialogue clarity, with a wide-dispersion tweeter and twin 130 mm woofers. The R35 floorstander adopts a three-way layout with triple bass drivers, targeting smaller to medium-sized rooms. The larger R45 is positioned as the range’s flagship, offering greater authority and extended low-frequency performance for larger spaces. ARCAM positions the R45 as the ideal partner for the Radia SA45 streaming amplifier.

Mike Strange, Global Product Line Manager at ARCAM, said:
We are proud to launch the Radia Series loudspeakers. They complement the Radia Series perfectly and, thanks to our talented engineers and HARMAN’s world-class facilities, deliver the same remarkable performance standard as our electronics. Our new loudspeakers integrate fully with ARCAM amplifiers and AV products, while excelling with any high-quality system.
With the Radia Series loudspeakers, ARCAM is effectively bringing its electronics-first philosophy into a category it has largely left dormant for decades. The company’s focus on system integration, measured performance, and real-world versatility suggests the range is intended not as a nostalgic return, but as a modern extension of the Radia platform.

The ARCAM Radia Series loudspeakers are expected to be available from authorised dealers from Q2 2026, with products anticipated to reach stores by May. UK and European pricing for the ARCAM Radia Series loudspeakers has now been confirmed as follows:
