AIAIAI TMA-2 HD Premium Modular Headphones

We first heard of AIAIAI about ten years ago and its Tracks 80s-style ear pleasers. However, the TMA-2 HD is a whole new ballgame for the Danish brand as its modular headphone design hits the high-end audio market. Furthermore, it's coming to The Bristol Hi-Fi Show 2020.

We are told not only does the £260 TMA-2 HD deliver high-definition audio, but that is now joined by luxurious comfort and premium components such as Alcantara cushions, memory foam and NAC acoustics bio-cellulose speakers.

AIAIAI has made its name by producing innovative headphones for DJ's and music producers. With TMA-2 HD Wireless, AIAIAI expands its focus to accommodate not only music creators but discerning music consumers.

As you may have noticed us mention, the TMA-2 is a modular headphone system. Well, AIAIAI proudly states that it is the worlds most extensive modular headphone system. The bonus here is that you can upgrade your headphones as technology evolves and so extending the longevity of your cans while creating less waste for the planet.

AIAIAI's system makes it quick and easy to change individual parts and allows for more than 1,000 possible headphone configurations. Additionally, it means your headphones can adapt to your needs and requirements at a particular time - are you at home, in the office or in the studio?

The speaker unit of the new modular headphones contains a diaphragm that is precision-grown from NAC Audio bio-cellulose. The result is said to be stiffer, lighter and stronger than regular PET speaker units. Furthermore, the material allows the sound-producing diaphragm to vibrate without the levels of distortion found in other speakers.

The Alcantara and memory foam earpads will undoubtedly offer a perfect combination of comfort and a pleasurable sensory aesthetic. However, being modular, you can have your TMA-2 configured for DJ use as above.

When you go wireless, the Aptx HD codec transmits 24-bit hi-res audio, equal to or better than CD quality. However, you also get a backup cable that helps reduce interference when needed or desired.
