Made in Europe, the Brooklyn Bridge II allows users to control the system through a smartphone or tablet or the built-in iPhone-style touchscreen. The device comes in 64GB or large 4TB SSD internal music storage versions and two colour finishes: silver and black. It also supports high-res streaming services, including TIDAL and Qobuz, as well as support for NAS devices and Bluetooth 5.
It features an Intel i5 processor and runs Roon Core via Mytek OS based on Linux. With plenty of processing power on tap, Roon Core server runs seamlessly and allows for managing large music collections and operating multiple zones streams in a multi-room environment.
The "Reference High Current, high transient" headphone amplifier can drive single-ended and balanced headphones.
DAC duties are handled by Mytek's custom implementation of ESS Sabre ES9028Pro 8-channel chipset, which is capable of converting PCM data streams up to 384kHz/32 bit into analog signals, as well as DSD256, DXD, and MQA with built-in hardware decoder. Both the DAC and CPU are powered from separate linear power supplies and a large oversized toroidal power transformer with automatic adjustment to line voltage.
The Mytek HAT (Harmonic Audio Tuning) DAC technology, developed for the Mytek flagship Empire Streamer, is also utilised. The sound characteristics of the D/A converter can be switched between highest precision or warmer sound signature.
Stock is expected to start shipping in May 2023. The 64GB model will sell for €1997.50, while the 4TB version will sell for €2397.50. Both models also come with a 2-month complimentary Roon subscription.
