KEF Opens New KEF Music Gallery Showroom In Tokyo, Japan

Situated in Tokyo’s Aoyama district, KEF has officially opened the doors to the new KEF Music Gallery Tokyo.

More than just a simple showroom, the KEF Music Gallery Tokyo is a two-storey building designed by Klein Dytham Architecture, featuring a huge 3D graphical interpretation of KEF’s iconic Uni-Q driver on the glass facade of the building.

Grace Lo, President and Head of Global Marketing at KEF, told StereoNET:

“KEF Music Gallery Tokyo illustrates our commitment to sharing the magic of great sound with consumers globally, and to provide our partners with a collaborative platform through which we can together deliver KEF’s unique immersive high-fidelity experiences to a wider audience.”

Situated on the first floor, The Gallery space is intended to let visitors test out the brand’s product offerings and learn more about upcoming launches and events. On the second floor, The Studio area is a multi-purpose space for events, exhibitions and more, while offering a cosy setting for podcast recordings and live-streaming sessions.

Both spaces have moveable LED monitors to exhibit digital installations and creative works from local artists, musicians and more.

Mark Dytham, co-founder of KDa, told StereoNET:

“The team at Klein Dytham architecture is thrilled to have been offered the opportunity to design such a dynamic experiential space in partnership with KEF. Conceived as a hub for music lovers and creatives alike, this project takes the notion of a flagship store and experiential retail beyond the next level.”

In addition, there are three sound rooms for testing KEF’s speakers. The Ultimate Experience Room houses KEF’s flagship Muon loudspeakers, while KEF’s LS wireless collection will be showcased in The Wireless High-Fidelity Lounge.

The Extreme Theatre will let visitors experience the brand’s high-end Extreme Home Theatre architectural speakers, paired with the flagship Blade.

After opening the KEF Music Gallery Hong Kong and KEF Music Gallery Tokyo, the brand will be looking to expand to London next, with the KEF Music Gallery London slated to open in April 2024.
