Meridian Announces Ellipse, its First All-In-One Streaming Speaker
British audio technology pioneer has launched its first high-end all-in-one wireless DSP streaming speaker, Ellipse.
The company describes Ellipse as “a complete Meridian system in a luxury and compact form factor.” It is a distillation of everything Meridian does and is designed, engineered, and manufactured at Meridian Audio's home in the UK.
Ellipse delivers Meridian's renowned sound quality in any room and features twelve unique Meridian DSP technologies, including the first implementation of 'Meridian Bass & Space' in a home audio product.

Meridian says its new Ellipse is easy to use and straight out of the box. With multiple control options, including Meridian's Control app, it also offers seamless integration with premium streaming apps. The company says it can be used stand-alone or integrated within automated smart home projects.
Ellipse's performance and versatility are enhanced by a suite of 12 powerful Meridian DSP technologies, including Meridian Bass & Space, which creates a vast, spatial soundstage far exceeding that expected from this compact form. It's also the first Meridian speaker to feature the company's R2 electronics platform, specifically developed for this release. It features the same sophisticated, signal-enhancing developments found in the DSP8000XE and DSP9 and incorporates Meridian's brand-new and updateable high-end streaming platform.
