Don’t Forget Your Plus One, With Bluesound

Stamping their authority on the multi-room audio market, Bluesound, the relatively new kid on the block has an offer too good to refuse this Christmas.

Released only last month Bluesound's PULSE Soundbar is the world's first high-res audio certified soundbar, and don't be mistaken, it's very much 'hi-fi' in sound.

StereoNET attended the launch in Sydney last month and foolishly thought the crisp sound we heard was eminating from the pair of Bowers & Wilkins floorstanding speakers flanking the PULSE Soundbar. Needless to say, we put our own order in right away (review coming).

Bluesound Pulse Soundbar

The PULSE Soundbar builds upon the BluOS platform, enabling the TV to be the heart of a whole-home wireless music system. Intended for use with flat panel displays 42” or greater, it uses many high-end hi-fi techniques to achieve its unparalleled performance, including true 3-way speaker configuration with tri-amplification.

Each driver has its own dedicated amplifier channel and powerful digital signal processing (DSP) for the crossover filters. Combined with the stylish black cabinet manufactured from extruded aluminum (no plastic here), PULSE looks right at home in any living space.

Bluesound MultiRoom

The key feature of Bluesound aside from high-resolution audio capability, is their BluOS multi-room capability (which can now also be found embedded in NAD products). Now your Soundbar can be an independent music zone within your house, in addition to your bathroom, kitchen, or alfresco area. The possibilities are endless (well not quite, you are limited to 64 zones or rooms, but if you manage to buy enough product to max that out, let us know and we'll give you an award!).

Bluesound Pulse Flex

To celebrate Christmas this year Bluesound is running a promotion via participating dealers to allow you to truly experience the BluOS platform benefits. When you buy the PULSE Soundbar, add one extra zone with a Pulse Flex speaker, and save $200.

Pulse Flex is the ideal speaker for the bedroom, kitchen or study, with assignable presets and optional battery pack allowing you to go portable. This is a great way to get into a whole-home audio solution, and simply add more zones as your needs change or budget allows.

    applause awards

Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.

Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.

The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.

We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
