ALDI’S $799 58” 4K UHD TV WILL SELL LIKE HOTCAKES THIS MONTH

You have to hand it to ALDI, they hand-pick their exclusive specials and more often than not, they nail it.

ALDI’s house-brand, BAUHN, will offer a 58” 4K Ultra High Definition LED LCD that will go on sale 13th May 2017.

What’s attractive about this offer aside from the affordable price, the BAUHN ATV58UHDC will come with a Google Chromecast Ultra ($99 value).

ALDI BAUHN 4K 58

It would be a stretch to call BAUHN’s previous TV models anything but ‘smart’, so the inclusion of the Chromecast dongle which connects to Wi-Fi and plugs in to the TV via the HDMI input is a welcome addition.

From an iPhone, iPad, Android device or laptop, users can stream up to 4K Ultra HD & HDR picture quality and in our tests, we have found it very reliable and even more convenient.

Apps such as YouTube and Netflix are 4K enabled, but you can also access over 200,000 TV Shows and movies from various platforms including Stan, Presto, and Google Play. You can also stream music and radio via Spotify, Pandora and more.

ALDI’s 58” TV also includes a built-in HD Tuner for free-to-air channels, along with the ability to record to USB with the PVR function.

BAUHN might not be known for their astounding picture quality, but if the previous releases are anything to go by, the out-of-the-box picture settings can be greatly improved upon with a little tweaking.

StereoNET is quietly confident ALDI’s 58” 4K Ultra HD TV with Google Chromecast Ultra for just $799 will likely be the TV deal of the year.

The BAUHN ATV58UHDC will go on sale May 13th, 2017 at all ALDI stores. There is no doubt you’ll need to be there at sparrows’ to get one - “only while stocks last”.

    applause awards

Each time StereoNET reviews a product, it is considered for an Applause Award. Winning one marks it out as a design of great quality and distinction – a special product in its class, on the grounds of either performance, value for money, or usually both.

Applause Awards are personally issued by StereoNET’s global Editor-in-Chief, David Price – who has over three decades of experience reviewing hi-fi products at the highest level – after consulting with our senior editorial team. They are not automatically given with all reviews, nor can manufacturers purchase them.

The StereoNET editorial team includes some of the world’s most experienced and respected hi-fi journalists with a vast wealth of knowledge. Some have edited popular English language hi-fi magazines, and others have been senior contributors to famous audio journals stretching back to the late 1970s. And we also employ professional IT and home theatre specialists who work at the cutting edge of today’s technology.

We believe that no other online hi-fi and home cinema resource offers such expert knowledge, so when StereoNET gives an Applause Award, it is a trustworthy hallmark of quality. Receiving such an award is the prerequisite to becoming eligible for our annual Product of the Year awards, awarded only to the finest designs in their respective categories. Buyers of hi-fi, home cinema, and headphones can be sure that a StereoNET Applause Award winner is worthy of your most serious attention.
