UK Audio Show 2022 Introduces Hall of Fame
The UK Audio Show 2022 will see a celebration of some of the industry's leading lights, with Max Townshend being the first to be announced.
Last year's UK Audio Show was the only major hi-fi event in the country, and this year organiser, The Chester Group, is planning some special events to mark its supporting role to the high-end audio and AV industry over the last 25 years or so.
As the official media partner of the UK Audio Show 2022, StereoNET will be proudly working with the UK Audio Show team to bring you more details about this year's programme that aims to appeal to audiophiles of all ages. However, we can share now that a new Hall of Fame will form a tribute to those engineers and suppliers who have significantly contributed to this industry's growth and innovation.
Firstly, we can announce that UK Audio Show 2022 will honour Max Townshend, whom we sadly lost recently. This tribute has the full support of his family, Sue, Harriet and Toni. Additionally, there will be a special show stand in Max's honour, and there will be separate presentations with Harriet and Toni in the Events Suite, where some of this year's special attractions will take place.
Currently, the organisers are busy working closely with Harriet to assemble his various innovations over the years and examples of his very latest work and recent aspirations - Max was one of those people who was always working on something.
The show invites anyone from the industry to contact them if they would like to contribute towards this special event by emailing roy@chestergroup.org.
We are certainly looking forward to the UK Audio Show 2022, and it is lovely to see Max being honoured in this way. The show will be held again at the De Vere Staverton Estate on the 9th and 10th of October. Visitor passes are available now with details on the UK Audio Show website.
