TALK Electronics Announces A500 and A600 Tonearms
TALK Electronics has announced a pair of new tonearms – the A500 and A600.
TALK Electronics has today launched two new TALK tonearms - the A500 and A600.
The UK-based designer and manufacturer unveiled the A500 and A600 tonearms with both being an advanced captive uni-pivot design which, says TALK Electronics, offers uni-pivot performance with the convenience of ball race feel.
The £349.95 A500 sports a 12mm aluminium slightly tapered arm tube, whereas the A600 £599.95 boasts a rigid 12mm pultruded carbon fibre arm. Both arms are equipped with an acrylic headshell and hardened stainless steel pivot point.
Internal wire differs between the models, also. The A500 is wired with jointless 0.15mm copper single core varnished copper wire, and the A600 uses jointless copper Litz internal wiring.
The output for both is via a 5 pin 270-degree connector which provides for the user’s choice of cable However, TALK offers a competitive high-performance option with straight or right-angle sockets.
Additionally, both come with Rega compatible mounting as standard. Also, the arms feature fully adjustable VTA via a collar arrangement.
Both tonearms are available in 9-, 10- and 12-inch versions with SME Audio or Jelco compatible mounts by special order.
