SVS Prime Wireless Pro Powered Speakers Announced

SVS's Prime Wireless Pro promises to bring reference sound quality to the smart speaker arena.

SVS's next-gen Prime Wireless Pro system comprises a two-channel powered speaker array integrating a 200W (4 x 50W) amplifier, 192KHz/24-bit DAC, and a “precisely tuned digital crossover”. The brand boasts that this all adds up to best-in-class dynamics, bass and clarity.

The Prime Wireless Pro consists of a powered and passive speaker pair outfitted with a 200W Class-D amplifier to deliver 50W of discrete bi-amplification to a high-output 5.25-inch mid-bass driver and a 1-inch Aluminium dome tweeter housed within each compact cabinet.

Touted as an all-in-one audio solution, the speakers can stream hi-res audio over Wi-Fi, AirPlay 2, and Chromecast, as well as Bluetooth aptX/AAC support. Also, there's HDMI ARC/ eARC to bring your telly into the party, alongside line level, optical, 3.5mm, ethernet, and sub out. Spotify Connect is also onboard.

Multiroom smarts and control are via the DTS Play-Fi app, whereas you can also control the speakers over AirPlay 2 for iOS users, while Android fans can do the same via Chromecast. The powered speaker also sports an OLED interface that displays the source, artist name, song title, input and volume settings. That is joined by six backlit pre-set buttons, providing access to sources, favourites and streaming services.

If you prefer your control more old school, you'll be glad about the bundled IR remote. DTS Play-Fi also gives you access to Amazon Music, Qobuz, iHeart, Pandora, YouTube, Sirius XM, Tidal, Pandora and Audible.
