Sennheiser’s Accentum Plus Headphones Add Premium Features

Accentum Plus builds on the standard Accentum wireless headphone model whilst retaining their 50-hour playing stamina.

Fresh from their CES 2024 premiere, Sennheiser has officially launched its Accentum Plus headphones, bringing premium features to the “battery-sipping lineup” as enjoyed by the impressive 'standard' Accentum.

Before we mention what extras Sennheiser's Accentum Plus brings, we must reassure you that the 50 hours of battery stamina enjoyed by the standard Accentum headphones remains here, alongside the company's expansive acoustic expertise. Furthermore, ensuring that marathon listening sessions remain comfortable, the Accentum Plus earcup and headband padding adapt to your contours, promising “stability through a gentle touch”.

Bluetooth 5.2 is on board, handing listeners aptX Adaptive, which should result in versatile and stable connectivity as well as getting the most out of the headset's proprietary 37mm dynamic transducer.

Ensuring that sound quality isn't ruined by others on the commute, we're told that the Accentum Plus benefits from “powerful Adaptive ANC performance” that optimises its noise target to constantly adapt to changes in the ambient noise environment around you. They say this dramatically reduces constant distractions so that the subtle details in your content shine through naturally.

For those on long haul journies where the 50-hour battery life might not be enough, the quick charge feature translates 10 minutes of charge to five more hours of listening time. Moreover, should you use a laptop or similar to recharge the Accentum Plus via its USB-C cable, you can continue with your Teams and Zoom calls or listen to content as the headphones convert into an audio interface.

Regarding interfaces, Accentum Plus can be controlled via an intuitive touch panel on the earcup, as enjoyed by the flagship Momentum series or a companion app that responds to gesture controls. Meanwhile, multipoint connectivity seamlessly switches the active wireless connection from one Bluetooth device to another without re-pairing.

The Smart Control App handles Bluetooth connections as well as offering a 5-band EQ, and other adjustments. Here, you can also store personalised presets.

For those times when wireless listening is not permitted, an included audio cable with a 3.5mm stereo plug can be used to tap into in-flight entertainment systems or other headphone outputs.

Sennheiser's Accentum Plus is available in Black and White and has an MSRP of £260/ €230.
