Pure and Braun Audio announces Peter Ogley as CEO.
Pure, the highly regarded UK digital radio brand, has appointed Peter Ogley, formerly COO of the Consumer Division at Sennheiser, as CEO.
Peter (pictured right) officially started his new role on Mondy, August 10th and aims to unleash the clear growth potential of the brand and help propel Pure to highlight the future of radio with easily accessible music tech and smart radios.
Additionally, Pure Ltd holds the license of Braun audio products from P&G. Renown for its Dieter Rams-designed components, the brand is due to celebrate its centenary next year. Pure launched Braun Audio in 2019 and Peter will be driving the retail roll-out of the new premium audio range later this year.
We met the new range (below) while in Berlin for IFA 2019 and they strongly displayed the timeless design of its predecessors, as well as possessing impressive sound quality.
Peter brings plenty of experience to his latest role, following his work at Sennheiser and over 20 years working with Bose, where he held various leadership roles including Global General Manager of the Home Theatre Division.
Peter Ogley told StereoNET:
Pure has a strong heritage as one of the world's leading radio brands and develops innovative radio technology. With the recent entry into the market for smart radios and the acquisition of the Braun license, I find myself in an exciting starting position. I am looking forward to bringing my knowledge and experience to the next phase of the company's development and to successfully lead these two great brands into the next phase. Our goal is to make Pure and Braun Audio a powerful voice in audio, always focused on the interests of the consumer.
Henrik Lorensen, Non-Executive Director and Chairman at Pure added:
Peter Ogley displays tremendous leadership qualities, and we know he will be a vital asset in accelerating Pure's vision for the future.
We look forward to seeing Pure and Braun Audio grow under Peter's guidance.
