Perlisten Audio R Series Loudspeakers Now Available

Perlisten's R Series uses the experience gained from creating the brand's flagship 'S' Series speakers.

The R Series from Perlisten is said to benefit from the blueprints of the S Series flagship range and offers the “similar design kudos at more accessible prices”, according to the relatively new brand.

That said, even though only founded in 2016, Perlisten Audio apparently boasts over a century of industry experience and leadership. It aims to give music and home cinema enthusiasts “a completely proprietary path to greater fidelity and value.”

Over five years of advanced modelling, measurement and listening have been dedicated to developing transducers, electronics and software entirely in-house; nothing has been sourced 'off-the-shelf or contract manufactured outside the company's production facilities.

A Perlisten DPC (Directivity Pattern Control) configuration of three 26mm silk domes is utilised by the new 'R' Series loudspeakers, including the R7t 4-way tower, the 3-way R5t tower, a matching R5c centre model, the stand-mounting R5m monitor, a 3-way R4s angled surround/height design, and a bookshelf version, the R4b. The DPC tech promises exceptionally accurate and natural dispersion and coherence from 1kHz-30kHz, according to Perlisten.

The DPC is complemented by multiple or single 165mm HPF polymer woofers in each model according to system size.

Supporting these designs is a range of four active subwoofers incorporating proprietary amplification, DSP and App control.

Typical retail prices (inc VAT) range from £8,100 per pair for the R7t to £1,600 each for the R4s model. R Series designs are available in a piano black finish, with piano white available shortly.
