Optoma Launches 4K Gaming Projector Pair

Optoma has released a pair of competitively-priced, low-latency 4K projectors aimed at gamers.

Optoma's UHD35 and UHD38 are identical save for the latter model's 4000 lumens brightness boast compared to its twin sibling's 3600 lumens rating, resulting in decent pictures even in a moderately bright room. That aside, what you get are a couple of compact image-slingers sporting a pair of HDMI 2.0 ports which are claimed to offer response times as low as 16.7ms at 4K 60fps and 4.2ms when viewing in 1080p at 240Hz.

Additionally, we're told that they both can project HDR10 and HLG-friendly images measuring anywhere between 33-300-inches via an eight-segment colour wheel. They benefit from Optoma's Dynamic Black settings and a stated contrast of 1,000,000:1.

Horizontal and vertical keystone and 4-corner correction allows for flexibility of placement while a 12V trigger enables control of a motorised screen.

As well as the built-in 10W speaker, you have the option to connect to a better sound system via S/PDIF or 3.5mm ports. There's also VGA in and a powered USB 2.0 port. Rounding things off is 3D Blu-ray playback support and a backlit remote control.

The Optoma UHD35 and UHD38 are available now priced at £999 and £1099, respectively.
